GLProject linux code @ 2003-04-09 20:55:06

As written in the last news post, I have ported GLProject to Linux & SDL. As I am now more and more using SDL for my OpenGL projects and moving away from Mfc, I thought it would be a good idea to port some of my projects to this excellent gaming library. Anyway I won't be bound to a specific platform as both OpenGL and SDL are available for many systems so far. Besides its ease of use and the intelligent structure, the fact that OpenGL is platform-independent is one of its most important advantages over DirectX, I think. But that's another subject.. ;-)

That's it for today. In the next days I will either write some new code snippets or I will publish an object-oriented C++ SDL framework that can be used as a start for your OpenGL projects. Looking at the poll so far, it seems that nobody really wants a chat here so I will _kick_ it completely from the site along with the next site update. Happy Coding in the meantime!
