Sorry for the lack of updates but as I told you in the last news post I was away in Berlin from Wednesday until Sunday and I hadn't access to internet. Unfortunately I was unable to upload the code I always wanted to add to the site because for some reason the web and ftp server wasn't accessible. I am not really sure why; it might have also been my dns service.
So I have added two new helper classes, sbmpfont and sbmptexture. They are both platform-independent and take advantage of SDL. I know that there are already two very similiar classes online but I thought a platform-independent, non-windows-only version would be nice for everyone. The time has come that everybody should think a little more in this direction and shoudn't concentrate their efforts on one system only. Especially because there are many libraries like SDL that make things really easy.
